BBAQ 2007 is finally over.this is the last big event i participated as boy for 62nd Singapore Company.during the race, we suffered from many injuries and cramps.and some parts we have to be decisive and confidence.our team had the most members, a team of 6.we completed the race! 9 hrs and 1 min.first time our company completed the AQ race!the 2 newcomers, joel and sean first time join AQ this year were satisfied and happy with the result.but the 4 sec 4s were really disappointed.
almost all the sec 4 blamed themselves for not doing well.
first is our captain, linchuan.
he is the most disappointed one, coz he is the captain.
he felt that he had let down his team, by not able to lead them into the top 6.
so right after the ran pass the finishing line, he cried.
not becoz he is touched that we completed,
but is becoz he is disappointed.
i cried too.
second is me, the navigator of the team.
i had been the navigator since last year le,
and im so afraid i may plot the wrong checkpoint again this year like last year.
and luckily i didnt,
but in leg one,
i brought my team walk the wrong way.
we were lost in the forest, coz at first,
i wanted to turn right follow the fence walked de.
but becoz im indecisive, cannot decide.
and not confident in myself,
so i chose to follow the crowd which led us to the wrong place.
but luckily,
we found the checkpoint when we backtrack and follow the fence.
third peron is darren.
he suffered alot during the race.
he suffered cramp on both legs, the calf muscles and the tight muscles.
it started on the 2nd leg, right after we start cycling. it became worst on the third leg cycling.
at the last checkpoint of the 3rd leg cycling,
he cant even stand, and the marshall almost call the OPs room to announce our team will be dropping out,
coz darren cant even stand.
linchuan response by asking the marshall to wait,
coz he say we wanted to complete the race!
i almost wanted to cry at that moment de,
coz seeing our team member suffering,
and captain stress,
it seems like we dont have hope to complete the race.
but i believe God is with us throughout the race,
he managed to guide us along the way and we overcome the cramps and injuries.
so, the impossible become possible.
many ppl say that the more the member in a team,
it will pull down the whole team.
plus we had so much cramps and injuries which delayed he whole team for a long time,
but we had the determination to carry on.
our officers are proud of us that we completed.
this year, champion team is our brother company, 87th!!
somemore this year AQ organized at Northbrooks,
so they win in their hometown and bring glory to their company and their school.
even though we won nothing, but our brother won something.
after 2 years of AQ,
i learnt something.
the navigator must really be confident in himself,
he must be decisive to decide which path to choose to walk.
he must not be influence by other teams.
he must communicate with his team members,
and last which is very important,
his team members must trust him.
im glad that my team put all their trust into me and believes that i will bring them to next checkpoint.
will be stepping down following day after speech day bah i guess,
then will be concentrating on studies and stop thinking abt company le,
coz i believe the next CSM & DY will do better job than me de!

our AQ team has been improving.
i believed the same as sir that one day,
62nd boys will be standing there on the stage,
taking trophies back for our company!
so boys, dont be afraid to challenge the AQ,
go for it and next year,
bring glory back!
